Though she didn't know much about keeping a home in the beginning, Alma Wakefield's love of learning has carried her through 50 years of homemaking. The most important lesson she has taken away has been to embrace who God made her to be and what He gave her to work with as a wife, mother and homemaker.
She learned to resist the urge to compare herself to other homemakers and instead to "do what she can do" with the gifts and resources God has given her. She has filled the past 50 years with serving her family, ministering alongside her husband and consistently embracing the gift of hospitality---all with an original flair that is uniquely hers.
